I recently attempted to use Spyder3Elite to profile my Canon inkjet printer, and find that the colors are wildly off, even with the profile, though they are even more off without it. Is this a profile issue, or something else?

| Perhaps you replaced one or more ink cartridges at the same time? Unlike Epson printers that use a computer chip in each cart to check correct cartridge location, the Canon printers have no failsafe against inserting a cart in the wrong slot. So if your colors are totally incorrect, check to see if this occurs without an ICC profile, and check that you have the correct Canon cartridges in the correct locations. | |
