Color Manangement Controls in SpyderTV and Spyder3TV
Posted by Larisa Bolli on 09 July 2009 07:03 AM
SpyderTV/Spyder3TV adjusts the Contrast, Brightness, Color, Tint, and Color Temperature.
The Mits DLP display should be watched in Natural mode, then use SpyderTV to make the adjustments.
You will find that while some displays offer "hypercolor" or "supercolor" that the specification for SMPTE C (NTSC, Spec 601) does not require this and that infact the hyper color feature will actually make the display MORE inaccurate. Generally speaking, turn off all "hyper color" features, and center all CMS color controls. ColorFacts 6.0 - 7.0 offers software support to assist in adjusting these features, which is well past the scope of the SpyderTV products.
