I can't connect to my Pioneer set.

The first thing to check is the COM Port you are using for the serial cable. You can do this by clicking on Start --> Control Panel --> System. This will bring up your System Properties. Next click on the Hardware tab and click on the Device Manager button. Locate the Ports node in the list. This will list all COM Ports you have available on your system. If you are using a USB-Serial adapter, be sure to plug it into your computer before opening the Device Manager.

If the COM Port is configured correctly in the application (C3 Remote or ISFccc Toolkit), then make sure you are using the correct serial cable. All Pioneer sets use a straight-through serial cable except for the PRO-1410, this panel uses a null modem serial cable.

If you are still having issues connecting, you will want to make sure you have disabled all Power Management features and Auto Signal Selection. After disabling these settings, turn the TV off then back on. Also, you will want to restart the application (C3 Remote or ISFccc Toolkit). After you have completed the calibration process, you can restore these settings back.
