Spyder3Elite 4 MQA: What is IRE% in the Tone Response graph?

IRE is actually a term from Home Theater and should not be used in this graph. Instead of IRE, the X axis of this graph should be "Digital Input" and range from 0 to 255. Tone Response is a graph of the Output Luminance of the monitor (in candelas) -vs- input digital signal (e.g. Gray Level) and is generally 'Gamma-shaped' in an attempt to match the non-linear response of the human visual system. | |
