How often should I calibrate my TV?

The general rule about how often to calibrate your display depends on the type of display it is as well as any changes in the video chain that may occur (such as new Blu-ray player, AV receiver etc..).

For digital displays it is a good idea to re-calibrate your TV once a year. Even though drift occurs much more slowly with digital displays,
electronic component tolerances do shift over time and the annual check-up will determine if the display is still performing to its optimum.

Analogue displays such as CRT's should definetly be calibrated at least once a year to account for phosphor drift that will occur over time.

Anytime you change any video component in the video signal chain: AV Receiver, Blu-ray / DVD, gaming consoles etc.. you should re-calibreate your TV asap.
