Why does Spyder4TV sets brightness too high or too low after a calibration?

There are several factors that could effect why the brightness calibration did not work as expected:

1. First make sure to eliminate as much light as possible. One simple way to accomplish this is to drape a cloth over the Spyder4 sensor during each reading.
This will ensure no ambient light is effecting the calibration process.

2. Before you begin the Brightness calibration, leave the ""black"" test pattern on the screen for a few minutes.
This will allow the electronics in the TV to settle and eliminate any image retention issues from on-screen menus etc...
