Why is there a lag between when I open an image, and when the calibrated display of it appears?

SpyderGallery is changing the color of every pixel in your image in real time. This is an intensive process, and takes a split second to process. On older, slower devices this lag will be more noticeable than on newer, faster devices. The lag can be eliminated by turning Calibration off, but at the cost of losing color accurate viewing. In some instances, it may be desirable to navigate through images with Calibration off, and turn it on only when the desired image has been brought up on screen.
